    Postak My Completed builds

Hey everyone! I just wanted to share with you my first semi completed build.

I have not completed the final finish job. I also just realized I put a Polish Sock on it instead of the Yugo stock. The finish is parkerized with a post black oxide dip. I have done nothing to the wood and still need to refinish the gas tube. I will be testing it out on the range tomorrow morning with a few buddies.

Just wanted to say thanks for all your help!

    Updated!!
I took them all out to the range this morning and they shot great. I was very happy with the results. This was my first time shooting an AK74 and I was surprised how nice it was to shoot. Still havn't sighted them in and I was able to hit the iron plate at 200 yards pretty consistantly.

Thanks Mark. It feels good to get one completed. I spent so much time demilling my kits It felt like I would never get one done.

Thanks Coils... ran into a cycling issue that I just posted about in the BIY forum. Would love to hear some feedback / suggestions on how to fix it.

    Cool What..???

How the heck are you guys doing such a good job on your first builds???

My first builds are still buried waiting to be re-built.
Great job there Pat. For real. Great job. All you young whipper snappers are doing some real nice first builds.

    4thIDVET,

You will notice I said first "completed build" ;-)

For my first build was a week earlier when I was trying to make a Romanian underfolder using a polish underfolder blank I bent. I learned all about what I should not do on that home built receiver as I will be demilling it in the near future.

Thanks for the compliment ;-) To answer your first question.

It is because we have such a great support network to pull from! You guys make this a lot easier for us than it would be if I didn't have you to pull knowledge from. Not to mention the tools that have been developed for use by this community.

    You guys are great!

Looks great! Now get that launcher sight back onto it and shoot away. Congrats!

You'll get it cycling, it's a minor problem and easy to fix.

    And again, keep use updated.
