    the reciver was my first try at sand blasting, what a better way to spray on finish. I used dupli 500 deg. sation on the metal and krylon fusion on the stock to collor match. I had to mod the akm gas block to get close to the predrilled barrel gas hole, and remove 1/4" from the gas tube to get it to fit the GB and FS. I have a bird cage hidder on the way to get the look I would like. muttman
    Looks great. But use the 1200 degree stuff. We found it works much better on holding up..
    It is us poor mans finish but does a good job.
    Remove ALL oils then bake it at about 350 degs for a few hours.
    Maybe not as good as duracoat and and all that rich peoples finishes, But hell, maybe it's the same stuff in a different can.

    4ID,
    I have used the 1200 on other builds, on this one I was looking for a higher gloss. a buddy needs a tec9 refinished and I was giving a try. muttman
