    Post SLOW BUT NOT SURE.

Mix and match kit coming up. Just grabbing parts out of the pile and putting one together.
Took about 2 hours to get the head space on. Barrel in barrel out. Wax on wax off.
    Rust on rust off??
Left the kit parts in an outside shed. Rainy damp weather. Could not believe the amount of rust that appeared in short order.
The receiver I understand. But the AK in it's natural state, sure does rust pretty darn fast. Dust cover, triggers, everything started to rust.

Yea i hear ya. I helped a buddy throw one togeter and we only painted the reciver the rest was a pretty mint kit after about three days in his garage it was a total mess. I was also suprised at how poorly the original Rommy coating holds up. I swore it got acid sprayed on it or something.

Looking good, so far. I wish I had enough "spare parts" laying around to build another AK

Good thinking. I like the idea. Just soaked the lower hand guard.

No shirt and it splashed on my damn beer gut. Damn near dove in the friggen canal. Man that hurt.

Parts. Gunco. Stop by the house. I have boxes and boxes of parts. Good God I don't even remember where the hell I got them.
Think back when Global was active, I used to get drunk and order stuff. Huh. I just dont remember.

    Post Headspace from Hell.

This was one of the toughest AKs I have ever head spaced.
Dag blast it, it was a tough one.
Just one of those that fought me all the way.
Head space real tight. But I took her across the street to the swamp and she ran 20 rounds clean.
Mix and match. Just puttin parts on and havin fun.
