Then when I went in the Army on my tropical adventure They trained us in a course on point and shoot.
Silhouette targets out to a 100yds would pop up and we had to take an instant shot at it. No sites just get the feel of the weapon and shoot.
Now that I cant see a damn thing up close anymore I cant use open sites.
So I either have to use glasses to see the sites or the target, not both.
It really does work once you get the feel of where your weapon is hitting.
I tried to show my buddy how to do it and he did not believe me.
We put some cardboard plates on the dirt berm at 100yds.
Without using the sites I was able to hit the plate almost consistently.
For anything of farther range sites would become a must.
Next time you go to the range give it a try. Takes some getting used to. But with practice you become one with the weapon.
I wonder if the Military is still teaching it?
