I finally got around to completing this kit that I got just after Christmas 2009. It's a Bulgarian AK-74 5.45x39 on a NoDak NDS-2 receiver.
The furniture is a NATO-length plum set from K-Var and the baked-on Moly Resin finish is a mix of black semi-gloss and grayish-black flat.
If the weather holds, I'll be testing it out this weekend!
I have a daughter. I tell her, "911 is what you dial after you're raped. 1911 is what you should have before they try."
Very nice. Look forward to hearing your report on testing.

Great looking gun, just got my Bulgy 74 done too I'll post pics later.
I realy like your plum furniture set, that makes it look good.
Nice! I just finished one also. I cheated though & only guncoated the receiver to match the new finish on the kit. Great fun to shoot. Almost like plinking with a .22
