Default How about this Russian red, look OK?

Had a little mixology going on and I wondered what you guys thought about the color and finish of this one.

    Umm...

Ok, I give for now. Never had a picture upload problem before but my $3000.00 laptop died and then the $14.00 "free" laptop died so I'm down to the work laptop. Good grief.

Ok, I actually didn't "give" before but now I do give up.

If your trying to upload a pic, you can't do it right to the site right now, use a hosting site.

when it works post a pic. Im in need to refinish my Mosin.
I was cleaning the cosmo from the action and threw a rag of lacquer thinner on the stock by mistake and it messed up the nice finish big time

Click on the picture in photobucket, and when a "Share this Photo" window pops onto the screen, click on the IMG Code field (which will copy the needed code), then paste into a Gunco Message window, looks like this when done:

What about the actual color though?
I've read a lot of threads about mixing this and that then sprinkling chicken blood on the thresh hold of the door after bleaching the wood and sanding it with sandpaper made from the skin of goats.
My approach was a lot simpler and not counting wasted steps, costs about $2.00 and took two days to complete. It's not the nicest wood, it's been around for 36 years and shows it. I figgered I'd experiment on the beater first.
