    Default Another born today.....Egyptian Maddi AKM

    kept original finish on all parts (wood, and metal) except for receiver for the BFPU look.




    Built with a $140 kit, and $110 Virgin Romy barrel.

    good looking rifle, i am about to start building an egytian soon
    and am looking for the rear arabic marked sight leaf before i get started

    This kit came with a standard rear sight leaf so I stole the Arabic marked one off of my spare parts pistol build (was built using a barrel less Egyptian kit) for this rifle.
    Prices have gone crazy on those rear sight leafs recently.

    Nice looking Maadi....

    I built one about a year ago from an Apex kit and it looks like a new one. I love the military Maadis....they are as close to a Russian AKM as you can get. The exports were sloppy as hell, but the military ones were high quality.

    PM BigAl...I think he may have a Maadi sling that would look good on that.
