    I did some research and decided on building a dedicated curing oven. Gunkote has molybdenum and acetone in it. Those things and all kinds of other stuff off-gas when you bake them. Over time, they build up on the surface of the oven. I don't want that stuff in my brownies, so I decided to build a curing oven. I used plans for a powdercoat oven and modified it. It's in its final phase of construction, but I think it'll work fine.

    I think flat looks good also. I did some AKs a while back and accidentally did one in flat instead of semi-gloss. It was the best looking one of the bunch, by far.

    That is a beautiful rifle! Done the way it should be done! Really good looking work on the cuts outs for the under-folding trunnion, how did you make those cuts?

    This was done on a AK-Builder flat from Curtis. underfolder trunnion cuts were already made.

    Never thought about painting the barrel I guess I didn't think you could for some reason...hell that's a good question why didn't I paint it....
