    Default AMD-65 @ 100 yds.

Well, the weather was nice so I decided to shoot the AMD-65 at 100 yds. I had fired the rifle before but it was only at 50 yds. I used my 50 yd. zero at 100 yds. just to see where the POI was.

The only problem was the target I was using had a 6" black bullseye and the Tacpoint 1 red dot covered the bull. So it was really hard to tell if you were aiming at the center of the target. The BUIS worked extremely well and it seems that the 50 yd. zero is right on at 100 yds. I think that if I use a larger aiming black the red dot group will get smaller.

I highly recommend the Hakko Tacpoint 1 to anyone who wants a small/compact red dot sight. It holds zero and the dot didn't washout in sunlight. At around $100.00, it's well worth it. Below are pictures of the Tacpoint 1 and my target.

Also, I have to give credit to the AMD-65, I was very surprised at how well it shot.

The only way to get one is if someone who bought one of the ones I sold is willing to sell it. I bought the last remaining stock (24 of them) from ACE Ltd. (it's been discontinued for about 2 years now) and sold them all in 3 days. I like the fact that you can add M16A2/AR15A2 windage sights for BUIS to replace the AK rear sight which needs to be removed to install the mount. As the target shows, the BUIS work! The coolness factor is a plus...
