I make the .223 myself. The .308 takes much more time and I couldn't sell it for enough to spend the time making them. Magnolia State Armory has expressed interest in making the .308 for me. If they don't, I've found a machine shop that will EDM them for me. MSA and I spoke about adapters before they had theirs ready for production. They wanted to buy mine, but I would rather have royalties. That didn't fit into their plans with the .223, but it would with the .308. We'll see.
I'm a car mechanic by trade. I restore old muscle cars and do some repair. Making the .223 adapters really put me behind on my bills as they took so long to make and the profit was bare. The machine shop is supposed to have the .223s in my hand this week, ready for shipment. I'm not certain about the price, I hope to be able to sell them cheaper with having them made than I could afford to do making them myself. The best part of having a local shop make them for me is that they will still be American made. I could sell them much cheaper if I had them made in China like some distributors, but that's just not me.
