    I have done the ammonium nitrate version on several Yugos.Lots of gas.I'd like to try the Nitrate of Soda next-seems like it might be a little less nasty.All hot lye is nasty.You must use eye protection and good sense.Don't do it in the kitchen.

    i do a lot of "coldblueing".... sometimes its great, sometimes it sux.

    Blindhogg does awsome work, anything from him is great. Mr Fudd on RCG forums just did a home hot blue with a great writeup that looks awsome.

    thanks I looked that sight over, the one I am looking for was a guy using amoniam nitrate and he had a bunch of pics of his setup , he was using a wok and doing the work in the yard, I thought it was posted here at gunco but cant find it
