Default OIL FOR NEW M72 RPK

I just got a new Yugo M72 RPK from AIM last week and was wondering what the best oil would be for the refinished wood. I would like it to stay the same color, if just a bit darker would be fine. The wood is very dry. I would like to keep it as close to factory as possible.
Any info or tips would be appreciated.

I have used boiled linseed oil on every build and have no complaints yet. Just wipe it on the wood only and let it cure. Don't put on too many coats as it will get shiney and be sticky for a while.

I know this may sound stupid...but...I used a couple light coats of tung oil to seal the wood, buffed it with 000 steel wool to get rid of the shine and then..(now for the stupid part)..applied some cosmoline that I scooped out of a spare gas tube. I has that hand-oiled Yugo look that I was after and it darkened it up just slightly.
