    Default Strip VZ52 Stock

Well I just came across a VZ 52 and it has a black truck bed liner type finish on the stock. I would like to remove that and refinish the wood stock. It does have some dings and I realize that the black paint was used to hide the damage. I would like to have the rifle look like a battlefield pickup. Does anyone have any ideas or experience in removing this type of finish?

On a side note, anyone know where I could score a mag for this rifle?

Heat gun and a non-marring scraper. Do it outside.

Then, when most of the crud is off, either use a cabinet scraper or heavy-duty paint remover.

I have a heat gun and some plastic scrapers, I will give that a try.

    Thanks!

My buddy is a plumber and spilled some purple pvc primer on his rhino lining on his pickup. It raised the liner in that spot and broke it up. The pvc primer has MEK in it. You can get MEK at a paint store or at ACE.
