Default Romanian Laminate AIMS stock refinishing

Hey Everyone, Im new here to the form and would much appreciate some help refinishing a used Romanian laminate stock i picked up to complete a AIMS 74 build. I was doing a search on the internet and found a very old thread with a Beautiful stock and would like to match it to mine. Here is the link. http://www.gunco.net/forums/f3/aims-74-clones-26975/

I have found some info that may be correct but would like to get some help and verification from someone with experience. I have read that I should use Blonde/Orange shellac. (I have only found Amber locally) and finish with a semi gloss polyurethane. Any help would be great. Thanks

Best place to buy shellac, great selection: The World's Finest Shellac Flake, Delivered to Your Door

The Romanians sure didn't use poly, just shellac.
I have a daughter. I tell her, "911 is what you dial after you're raped. 1911 is what you should have before they try."
