    Default Using original stocks

I want to use my original stock on my next romy build but instead of using the buttstock I want to put a pistol rear trunnion and keep the lower handguard with fore grip. Is this a problem legally?

If the bbl is left over 16" and it has a detachable shoulder stock, you are good to go. No stock at all but full length bbl is a grey area. The definition of an AOW includes "capable of being concealed on the person" in its description. Would ATF consider a rifle length "handgun" concealable? Best to ask them directly.
