High cap pistol mags over 10 rounds are illegal in Hawaii. Rifle mags are ok. The guns stores in Hawaii are selling 30 round ar15 mags. It is a misdemeanor to posses a pistol mag over 10 rounds. It is a felony to install a high cap pistol mag into a pistol. There are no laws against parts kits in the Hawaii. The gun stores had a few kits for sale and they will also bring in receivers for you.

He is telling the truth. I lived on the big island for 4 years, and you can own/sell high cap rifle mags to anyone all day long. Its the pistol mags that are limited to 10 rds only. You can also safely ship them the kit, as there is no restriction on parts on the books. If the person who buys the kit from you builds it into a pistol, its their problem and not yours. I frequently send parts to my old friends back on the island, just sent 12 H&K 93 40rders to one buddy. You'll be fine.

I beleive it is the buyer's responsibility to know his laws and not your responsibility
