Default future of home gun building

It seems to me that the future of building guns a home looks pretty bleak. The ATF keeps tightening its grip and re-interpreting gun laws at a scary pace. I'm wondering as a recent home build addict and a gun collector whether or not its worth it to purchase any gun kits? Will my kits be illegal tommorow and will they be collected? I recently purchased a ppsh-41 kit (deemed particularly evil by the ATF). I havent decided on whether or not to attempt a semi-build or just make it a dummy gun.(though it pains me to destroy a perfectly good gun) There are so many projects I would love to attempt but I can't decide whether or not to buy up the part kits while they are still available or if I'm wasting my money and effort and should just pick up a new hobby and make my wife happy? I'd like to hear what others think. I like a lot of gun owners out there feel powerless to change the situation.

make what you want, (what is legal) NOW! leave the ATF worries till later. allways better to have and not need it, (even if someone wants it back) than regret never doing it.

Buy the kits that you can afford now. Add the receivers and compliance parts when you can. Build as time permits & buy ammo cheap to stack it deep....

There will always be kits of some shape or form.
We will keep building one way or another.
If we need to buy barrels that's only $100.00 more
Even if it's a tater gun Damm it I'll build something.

If it is built prior to the proposed AWB could it still be deemed illegal and subject to be taken?

As it stands right now, apparently the BATFE can do anything it wants. And that is with a Republican Pres & atty General. I started with custom Mausers 30 years ago & I might go back to that or blackpowder. I would not lose any sleep over it though. There's always slingshots!
All we can do is vote & then the politicians don't do what they promise anyways.
Most things go in cycles, the Gov't might decide we need to be armed to the teeth one day and require everyone to be armed like in Israiel. You just never know. you can't live your life by what "might" happen.

    Be armed to the teeth.
    But keep your slingshots handy.
