Not a problem.
Hey All, I am wondering if it is legal to pull sc bullets and reload them with fresh powder, primers, brass cases. I ask due to someone offered to sell some and I dont want to have something the Feds can send me on vacation at Club Fed.
Not a problem.
I have a daughter. I tell her, "911 is what you dial after you're raped. 1911 is what you should have before they try."
I'd shoot it as is. I can't recall anyone getting in trouble for shooting steel core. You just can't buy the stuff from a vendor any more.
Steel core 7.62x54r is all over the place, vendors galore. Perhaps you mean steel core 7.62x39?
Even loading super duper sabot loads in 9x19mm with tungsten bullets is fine if it is for your own use.
The only thing the ATF cares about there is "pistol" calibers, since you can commercially get an AK pistol, they started counting x39 as a pistol round.
Yeah I don't understand why your going to break it down just to reload it?

Yup. Pulldown all the components. Find the mean powder charge and bullet weight through weighing. Cull out of spec bullets and normalize the powder charge. Reload. Shoot a better round than you started with.
Yes I did mean the 7.62x39. I used to pull components down on wolf and reload them and got nice results. A hell of a lot more consistant anyways.
