Those were .308 bore, and they didn't correctly support the case head, so they blew up a lot of feed trays and top covers.
I'd use a .308 barrel. Just me, and I might be scaring some people, but the difference doesn't seem like much, and someone here's PSL slugged out to .309, so it ain't that much of a difference for being able to be use both types of ammo. The only added pressure is initially as the bullet is deformed into the rifling, the PSL's main pressure problem is pressure at the port. It also has the stronger bulged trunnion... Though even if it shows pressure signs it wouldn't matter much to me, I'll just handload with cast bullets... Get an M76 bolt, set the barrel back and rechamber it to .308. Mod some G3 mags to fit, or get some 7.62 saiga mags.
