I'm going to throw this one out as a suggestion.

La Quinta Inn & Suites Charlotte, NC Hotel - Coliseum

I've stayed in La Quintas before and thought that it was a nice place for the money. They have free shuttles to and from the airport (as do most of them) every 30 minutes for those of us flying in.
