I remember that patch from my squad, two transfered to the 2/17th Air Cav. there gone now, just the 2 of us left from the squad now, me and Buzzy, and Buzzy has cancer bad. I'm top row second from left with the 60 and the "Aussey" hat, and Buzzy is the goofy one ,center right looking up. I always go to the 43rd memorial highway to honor Johno, and Jonesey the guys I was with from the 43rd and to the Nam Memorial on Interstate 91 in Vt to honor my 101st brothers. Ho Chi Min Trail and the Ashaw Valley were our 2 main AO's. The Ashaw is where Hamburg Hill is, rough area to be in at that time, lots of hot LZ's in the whole valley. We came back from one dust off with 36 holes in our bird and door gunner hit, VERY HOT LZ!!!! And one of the Cobras lost tail rotor oil pressure on landing and it wiped out 3-4 birds on the ground, on that same mission, no one hurt bad, amasing. It's getting close to Vetrans Day and I start thinking about the things I've seen and the people I served with. It sure does bring back a flood of memories, for sure!! And to all my brothers in arms
