to me it sounds like someone is trying to "sell" canada as some kind of safe haven. with all the foreigners canada is taking in it could be the first place to unravel in north america.
i don't think currency devaluation is going to be that big a problem as most people no longer hold enough currency to have that much to lose anymore.
