Today, the state House Judiciary Committee passed House Bill 484, House Bill 500 and House Bill 563. These pro-gun bills now go to the House floor for a vote. HB 484, a concealed carry expansion, was introduced by state Representative Will Coursey (D-6) and HB 500, strengthening the state firearms preemption law, was introduced by state Representative Robert Damron (D-39). Finally, HB 563, a fraudulent firearms purchase prevention bill, was introduced by state Representative Martha Jane King (D-16).
