The Winchester Canyon Gun Club operates a public shooting range in the Los Padres National Forest. The Club’s original permit was issued in the 1960’s. It expired in 1995 and has been authorized on an annual basis ever since. The U.S. Forest Service must prepare an environmental impact analysis on the proposed action to renew the Club’s permit for twenty years. Announcement of this process was posted in the April 27th Federal Register.
