Today, Governor Mary Fallin signed Senate Bill 1743 into law. Also known as the “Landowner’s Hunting Freedom Act,” this bill received the overwhelming, bi-partisan support of the Oklahoma Senate and House with final votes of 44 to 0 and 78 to 3, respectively. SB 1743 allows Oklahoma landowners and their guests to use lawfully possessed suppressors (also referred to as silencers) on firearms for hunting as of November 1, 2012.
