Being prepared is just basic common sense. Not to mention folks like NASA are teeling their employees that basic preparations are a good thing, and recommending they be prepared. The CDC and Red Cross advocate being prepared, as do many smaller organizations. Heck even the government thinks you should be prepared, but just not more than 7 days worth, or you might be a terrorist. With all of the mainstream focus on the benefits of being prepared, even a little, it's amazing to me that they think it's stupid! Oh well, they will get one helluva surprise when they try and come steal what I have. Like was already said, they'll get one helluva case of lead poisoning.
