Fail #1: living in New Orleans.
I can sympathize with people who are burdened with property there, but anyone who voluntarily lives there, particularly the ones who moved in after Katrina... like those Californians who keep building million dollar houses on dirt embankments that slide down into the sea, exactly why am I required to pay for other people's stupidity? Why do insurance companies insure them? Why do my Federal tax dollars bail them out?
"Hey, I just bought this nice lot on Mount St. Helens. Sure, that eruption that killed 57 people was in 1980, hell, that was back in the 20th century. Nothing to worry about. Buy in while lots are cheap!"
