The Bill Of Rights are a part of the Constitution, but I know what you mean and agree. One thing people don't understand is the Bill of Rights were not established to tell me what I am allowed to do it was established to tell the Government what they are not allowed to take away from me.
The politically supported teachers unions have been working for years to make sure our children don't understand that so the younger generations will never miss what they never had but was actually theirs from the beginning.
It's truly sickening thinking when you send your kids off to college for a higher education they get this crap shoved down their throats and are failed by professors if they don't march lockstep with their beliefs.
"What country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance?" -Thomas Jefferson-

"The whole of the Bill (of Rights) is a declaration of the right of the people at large or considered as individuals.... It establishes some rights of the individual as unalienable and which consequently, no majority has a right to deprive them of." (Albert Gallatin of the New York Historical Society, October 7, 1789)
