I have heard that quite a few people are buildin the berreta 38a.
Is it a difficult build. Is it an open bolt? Is there a ATF conversion OKed
I like the looks, and a challenge.
Any info would be appreciated

It is going to be tricky. A group of us have most of the design and modification work done on the M-56 build and intend to work on the Suomi and Beretta next. Suomi doesn't look too difficult and will incorporate a lot of what has been done on the M56. The Beretta offers some special challenges. Any input is appreciated. There is some discussion on the Weaponeer site on all these builds under specific builds.

Here is the website we started on the M-56. It will be updated this coming week to reflect some new work that has been done. http://www.deject.org/yugom56overview.htm
Here is the link to the Suomi, Beretta and M 56 in Weaponeer.

did this last january. test fired OK, but put it on the back burner for finishing touches, as i have been traveling 80% this year. modified the bolt & etc., adapted a semi AK group, and fit it for suomi drum mags in a pistol configuration. fun project.

The Beretta 38A is having a lot on renewed interest over on the Weaponeer.net board. I will be starting this project, probably in Feb, and doing a tutorial and CD based build book on it.
