anyone here ever tried, and was successful at completing a semi-auto dp-28 build. I found a site that sells the kits for 400 and feel like this would be an awesome rifle to build...that is all I know at this point

As far as I know there is not a BATFE approved semi build for these yet. I'm sure someone is trying, there was a group buy on another site recently for these. If you realy like it and can wait for the semi approval I'd get it while you can at that price, the group buy wasn't much cheaper.

I got a kit from Alegheny Arsenal, it is like new. I know that there are a couple of people working on this. There is a yaahoo group and another person is working on a semi receiver. There are no cut receivers available so you will have to wait till one becomes available. it is definately a cool gun worth building.

that is where I saw it, the only thing is, that's four romy kits, so I could have four guns I can definitely complete or one that I dunno if it will ever get built.

Got a kit. Waiting now to see if an approved semiauto design floats to the surface.

Personally I would rather have a dp28 than 10 romy kits. this is a very unusual gun and when completed will be worth having.

you may be right, unforunately for me I am still a college kid so I won't really be getting 10 romy's or a dp-28 kit, I'm stuck with a few romy kits that I have

I thought jumanra already had the semi approval? Since getting hit by lightning last week, I lost all computer memory ( bookmarks) & can't find his website yet.

I got two of the kits from AA and they are SWEET! The group buy thru Gary may not be any cheaper thru AA but you get a a big discount on any extras and more extras are usually included with the kit if there's not a price break. I got one of the last receiver sets from Omega and have about 24 drums for my two kits and six of the canvas/metal drum carriers. I know Prexis will be working on a semi receiver for the DP-28 but one of my kits will become a Post-Sample.

Weaponeer is having another GB on these, this time with the cut receiver included.

Ya know, it funny but every time I think I'm gonna start a new thread, vola! There's all ready a thread started on the exact topic I was gonna bring up!
I got in on the group buy on the DP-28 and was wondering if anybody else had any experiance with them. It's an unusual gun and I'm looking forward to getting the kit!
Military Gun Supply has an approved semi......

MGS is coming out with a complete receiver and possibly receivers soon. there is also some one else working on a semi receiver. if you want one get a kit and set it aside.

Got to give some credit to MGS for putting the effort into designing semiauto solutions for a number of kits we'd all like to have built up some day. I've got a DP-28 and PPSH-41 I sure would like to make functional.
