I need to learn to weld. That is some pro-style work.

There are some milled kits available, just not as cheap as they used to be.

Yup, the milled build is still viable.
I favor the M64.
Built along the same proceedure described.
I have very rudimentary welding skills. Argon/CO2 is necessary for clean work.
Desire is always the main ingredient.

Just to clarify.
We have discussed this at length before. Once it has been de-milled and legally sold into this country. It is no longer a gun period. Its a bunch of old metal parts and nothing more. There is no conflict in the rules regarding this whatsoever. This build is NO DIFFERENT than any other AK build from parts.
OMG! that is freaking great! However I must warn you there is some question about if it's legal, you might want to remove the post and repost some questions. Remember the BATF rule about once a machine gun always a machine gun. I also know after it demilled it's no longer a gun and just considered to be so many parts but the rules are conflicting and contadictaory sometimes. But better safe than sorry.

Yep, old metal parts.
I just picked this up.
I personally haven't seen this RPK version about.
Unadulterated show off. :)
