Ok ak-builder got the jigs then sold out almost immediatly. Im just gonna have to build my own. I got the plans for everything except the third adapter. This is the long adapter with the large nut at the end. Can anyone give me the specs on it and tell me what that one is used for?

I've never used it, My papers are out in the shop and we're under a tornado warning. I think it might be for underfolder rivits?

I think it's for the bottom rear rivets. I "think" I have used it but I would just make a longer one of the others instead. Those rivets are not that tough.

One thing I have found with the Plinker jig is that there's more than one way to skin a cat. I don'teven look at the instructions I just put together a setup that looks right and press away.

Just make an adapter that's long enough to reach the rear rivet on the underfolder or sidefolders.
I don't use the clamps on mine. There is a video on my website in the download section showing how to rivet a couple of the front trunnion rivets. For me I just use one ram for the front two... instead of swapping them out. I show the clamp on the video, but I don't mess with it.
More long rivet jigs should be on my website next week.

Wow thanks for the quick replies guys. That gives me a better idea. Stickerman, Ill keep an eye out for those jigs next week. I still have to wait on your barrel press kit, trigger guard jig, gas pistons anyhow. You have a great site by the way.

Today I "should" have the rest of the steel to finish the bars for the barrel press. Trigger guard jig bases were picked up yesterday at around 4:30pm.
I'll be overnighting Plinker money today if I get time....

Just wait until next week. Maybe he'll have some of the regular jigs ready too. It will be at least four to five days until the long rivet jigs will be here.
