I looked in J&L Industries monthly sale flyer for a 90' tilt vise, and thought that $49.95 wasn't too bad for a gizmoi that would help to locate trunion rivets, and then drill the holes. Then I went to HF's website and got the same friggin' thing for 15 bucks! Cheap tools need love too.:buttkick:

Whoa there hold on. I have this thing, what are you planning to do with it? For milling it vibrates and gets a little harmonic thing going when its at an angle. As a drill press devive its OK, (just ok)

VZ I was just thinking of using it to hold the trunion for lining up the rivet holes for driiling the reciever.

i bought a 1" belt sander from HF....after awhile the thing started SHOCKING the piss out of me....in the garbage it went.
Coils you'll be good to go then just make sure you keep the bolts tight. They seem to loosen up (or more likely pull the threads).

OK, don't over tighten the bolts, I'll remember that. :D

Yeah, I stay away from the HF power tools. Bought a grinder one time, after about a week of light work it burnt up. Bought a replacement, and it happened again. Finally went to sears and bought a craftsman and it is still good to go.
