Has anyone encountered rudeness or problems from these people? I had ordered some mags and rear trunnions from them a few weeks ago and called to check status. Was told the trunnions were out of stock and on back order. I saw 2 charges from them on my card for 1 order. Called and was told that a order was shipped out that i placed last month!!!! Problem is i NEVER placed a order with Centerfire last month. I assumed it was a partial order with the 2 mags. Order came in today and it is 1 trunnion? Called again and was talked to like garbage and told this was a old GUNGROKER item. I never received an invoice for the gunbroker item last month. So i guess when i placed my online order with centerfire they charged my card for a trunnion from last month on Gunbroker.

In my recent dealings with Centerfire over the Yugo RPK kits I was very unimpressed with them, and I will leave it at that.

I had two similar bad experiences with them over a year ago and expressed it on this forum. Several members jumped on me and said I was just a whiner. OK.

I have had positive experiences and negative experiences with them. Of course it has been quite a while since I've ordered from them.

They sell alot of junk, but I've never had a problem with returns.

Actually I have had good experiences with them. Sounded like an older gentleman I was speaking too. Will admit I have not had any dealings with them in the last 6 months.

For the record they used to be one of the site sponsors I think that would say volumes with out all the negative stuff

I personally have had good luck with Centerfire. I have had two issues where the item received was not in line with what was advertised, and they made it right immediately with no hassles or bad attitudes.
I would call back and ask to speak to a supervisor, it may be that you got a bad apple. It only takes one of those to really screw up a reputation.
Good luck with the issue, I am sorry that you have had problems.

I've gotten good and bad from them but they seem to have gone downhill since Lois left.
11-30-2007, 05:55 AM
OMG Lois is not their any more!!!!
how many times I have said "I love lois" ......
here is my oppinion. just an oppinion.
I have never had any rude people on the phone. but things can change.
I have never had what I feel a bad deal. but things can change.
I have to admit it has been a long time since I ordered from them last.
I have to agree with bellson. call back ask for a supervisor, let them know you are not pissed off, you just want to give them a chance to show a positive end result on the mix-up. then base an oppinion on how the supervisor speeks to you.
eather way let us know, good or bad.
I think you got someone on a bad day. just my guess..
good luck HB
I have read about all the bad stuff but I have had good experiences with them....
Luck of the draw???

They used to be a great supplier. But they went down the tubes starting with the sewer pipe Yugos.
They chose not to renew their sponsorship because we refused to edit all the negative comments posted here.
That may have worked at goonsnet, but not here. (who could forget all the coverups GN did for joeken, right up until the time they burnt old DimwiT himself)

I've bought only 4-5 times from CFS. Dollar for dollar, what I've gotten from Centerfire has been good market value. Not the best and not the worst, pretty much what was advertised. So, I have no complaints and the people I've dealt with have been very pleasant and helpful.

I can't say anything bad about CFS, almost every time I got what I ordered for a decent price and the one time I didn't, they refunded my $$$....no questions asked.

not to change the subject BUT....
I am so very impressed that we can have differant oppinions here, without it turning into a personal FLAME FEST. I know for shure their are other places ware if you are not a sheep following the crowds oppinion, you will be punished.
I honestly do not see much , if any of those childish games here.
this is an important factor to me here at gunco.
I could go on but I think you guys know what I mean.

Keep ordering from them, and you'll get screwed over sooner or later.

I usually dealt with Lois. Sorry to hear she left. I had not heard there has been a problem with their products or service recently.
Years ago, I ordered some primo AMD kits and Hung. mags from them and was very happy with the product and service. Wish I had bought more of those kits. A little later I ordered some of the KA garand ammo, there were some rusted clips in one can and they had it picked up and credited me.
Spring of 05 was the Yugo kit disaster. Based on how nice the AMD kits were, I had ordered a number of these Yugo kits expecting VG-Exc cond as advertised and got poor cond kits. Turned out most of the kits were beaters. They picked them up but did not refund my shipping. I exchanged the Yugos for a number of the Excellent Rommy kits they had.
In my experience they have taken care of me and I have been treated well.
I have been very tempted to order a couple of the CZ-82s that are on sale. I have seen some posts that these are not as nice as what other vendors have. That was the only reason I have not ordered yet.

I have to agree 100% with HotBarrel's last post, there is almost no childish acts on this forum (except when 4th gets picked on :D ), and that's the main reason I like this place.
Back to the subject;
I only have one complaint about CFS and that was with that CZ26 recall thing, I know they were CTA but to keep records of a non-gun for that long is questionable.
I've ordered plenty of kits from them and the Yugos where the worst, mainly since they were advertised as good to very good when they were doing the pre-orders. The couple I got were fair but as soon as I saw how fast they sold out I was happy I got in on it, and I'm still not complaining about them, they do shoot nice enough for me.
I have been very tempted to order a couple of the CZ-82s that are on sale. I have seen some posts that these are not as nice as what other vendors have.
Maybe that's why they have (had) them on sale for that cheap of a price?
I've seen many different conditions of these at the shows and even the rough looking ones still looked very good mechanically, it seemed more like holster wear then being used.

I can't complain about any of my dealings with them. But they're only about 30 min. drive from where I work, so most of my dealings are face to face.

i had one mishap a g3 stock they sent me a mp5 and i called back told them they made a mistake . i asked if i could return it they tried to get me to pay shipping but that wasnt happening i argued that i ordered a g3 not the other and they finally gave in it seemed to much trouble for them the last thing they told me was it wouldnt happen again [ them paying the shpping ] not the mistake parts
i ordered from them 5 times in the last 2 years
this is the only trouble ive had
i will probably keep ordering due to cheap prices
