I have a friend that offered to sell me a STG58C. Is this a good rifle? Any comments?

My understanding of the Fn Fal STG58 is a nice rifle. I just put one together using a new Imbel receiver. I purchased my STG58 kit about 5 years ago and shorty after that is when I bought the receiver. I just test fired it about 3 weeks ago and everything worked find when I got the gas adjustment correct. Hopefully I will get it parkerize within a month. My other Fn Fal's also work find but they aren't the STG58 type.
Something to know is the STG58 is a metric pateren whereas some others are inch pateren.
Hope this help.

It helps a lot. This is an Etreprise Arms STG58C...
After doing a little googling, I think I'll just go ahead and get it. He said he'd take $500 for it. According to some on the internet it may not be the best, but from what I've seen definitely worth the 500. It is a cool looking gun with built-in bipod. I just don't know much about the fal design. Time to educate myself!

At $500 that's a steal. I've got that wrapped up in mine and that was 4 or 5 years ago. Back when ammo and mags were cheap.

I built an STG58 on a DCI receiver a couple years ago and it's one of my favorites.
