How can I get rid of or dampen the "springy" sound in the stock of my AR without spending a bunch of money?
Do accuwedge's really increase accuracy?
Thanks in advance,

On the # 2 The accu wedge is there to shim your lowwer to your upper. Its good if you have slopp in between the upper/ lowwer. Rattle loseness in general. I havnt had that problem so I have not used one.

What you don't like the sprrongggg!!!!! sound when you shoot? I've read where people lightly coat the recoil spring with grease, but I've never tried it as I figure it would be a mess to clean out and would stiffen up in the cold or dry out over time. I really only notice it when I'm shooting with ear muffs on and the plastic of the ear muff is resting on the stock. You might try putting some adheasive felt stuff on the part of the ear muff that contacts the stock or just shoot it until you don't notice the sound anymore.

I kind of like the slinky sound. I think in the future I might try one of those hydrolic buffers.

my m-4orgeries strangely enough---no springey --but my a-1/a-2s springy+1 --LOL
even the m-17s is springy--springy is a odd thing. not sure if it is the spring, stock or something else that transmits the spring sound through the rifle.
