You forgot the ever SO popular. It can fire a bullet then its an "assualt weapon" comment.
A little town near me a few years ago had a kid come to school with a rusty 38 special. Non firing. He brought it to school to show his classmates. Best thing to do no. but the News media got a hold of it and I kid you not the story ran something like "5 grader brings assualt weapon to school"
The news reporter went so far as to call out the assualt weapon as a 38 caliber assualt weapon. Parents were in shock and couldn't believe that a student at their school would bring an assualt weapon.
Those parents wanted someones head for allowing it to happen.
They even showed a picture of the "assualt weapon" on the news. It was a rusty 38 special that could fire and the cylinder could turn. Non loaded.
News reporters just like politicians need fear to get ratings!
