Thanks everyone! Im pretty stoked with it. I have found i really like the CSS blanks.. they are good and sturdy, all you need is a schematic, a way to measure, a drill press and a dremel. Now if i can only get away to go break her in!

Looks good Post!!! Once I built/fired my first Bulgy 74, I was addicted to the 74 platform.

Very nice! Mine was the easiest ak I've built. Have you shot it? I was pleasantly surprised at how little the bullet drops compared to the 7.62x39.

Looks good Post!!! Once I built/fired my first Bulgy 74, I was addicted to the 74 platform.I'm with you there. I would like to build one in .223, since you need to get a bbl anyway, then theres the bolt and mag,but still not that expensive an endeaver.

Thanks again everyone! Just got back from the hills here, Shot about 30 or so rounds through 2 different magazines, had about 5 problems..
First one, happened twice:
if you look close, you can maybe see the base of the casing waaay back in there. Front of it jammed into the rear end of the magazine. Im thinking this is an ejector problem, if it continues, might have to put a little bead of weld on the ejector and file to fit.
The other problem i had, bang, ejected the spent casing along with a fresh round, then jammed on the next round in the magazine (bolt missed the lip of the round, and scraped along its edge until it stopped). Ejecting a fresh round with a spent round happened once, the bolt jamming on the next round without stripping it from the magazine (mag to low?) happened 2 more times.
Also, my firing pin is mushing primers, so i will probably take a little off that guy too, not much tho.
Used wolf HP and milsurp stuff. Time to go scrub scrub scrub and clean it up. Other than that, was fun to shoot, and im pretty pleased with it. Funny, I dont think i have ever taken a build out, and had it run perfect the first few rounds. Then after a week or so of sitting untouched, i can take it out to the desert and break rocks with it all day long, no malfunctions. Its that stubborn break in period.
