I thought some of the members here might be interested in the pics and writeup of my latest shop project, which I posted over on Jeepforum:
Portable Bandsaw Stand - JeepForum.com (http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f37/portable-bandsaw-stand-1314619/)
Since the pics host from my server and not that forum, non-members should be able to view them just fine.

That is a slick solution to mounting a portaband type saw !!!!! Workmanship is great too !!! Thanks for sharing your project.
Years ago I discovered that those chicom metal bandsaws tend to mash the blade teeth on one side of the band due to the iron wheels. Urethan bands on those wheels should help prevent that deformation and allow straighter cuts as a result.

I finished the table a few days ago; finally got a chance to snap a picture of it. I still need to get some longer screws, but to change blades, all I have to do is remove the 4 10-32 screws, lift the table up and off, and then change the blade as normal, without removing the saw from the base. Which in itself would only take a few seconds. Now all it needs is some paint.

Well done !!! Your stand appears to have some commercial potential !!!

Maybe. I doubt if I could compete with what SWAG Offroad gets for their stand; I'd have to charge more than they do, and even though I think my setup is better, most people are going to want something that will accept one of the newer model saws with the higher amp motor, even though it gets in the way of use as a vertical saw. To say nothing of the cost of shipping to anywhere from Alaska.
