My first AK build. I wanted an OD scheme.
I am pleased on how it turned out.

Very nice. I really like seeing people coming up with unique ways to finish their rifles.
Please give us some build details.

Thanks for your comments
The paint is OD Teflon/Molycoat from Brownells
and the ergo grips I got from Red Star Arms, Blackjack Buffers has them also.
They are $ 30.00 ea (ouch) black or green.
G2 fcg, tapco gas rod and muzzle extension. OOW receiver w/rivets
She's a great shooter.
(Rats Magnus, I paid too much for those grips!):scared:

I just noticed that:( Well Least RSA is a board supporter. I don't mind paying a little more to someone that supports the board.

Those grips look nice on that AMD w/green. The "Green Machine".
I also like green, it looks like you did a very good job. Although I can't figure out how in the world you are changing the mags. Looks like there's only about 1/4" gap between the mag and the front grip.

Very carefully. You have to really hit that mag release for the tab to clear.
To each his own.

I have used 30 rounders on my amd regular folding stock. It pretty tricky to do it but I can change one out pretty fast now. I dont like the 30's in the amd. the 20 goes great with that weapon.

Cool build! I like the green.
Didn't I see those grips recently for sale by someone on AR15.com for about $12 each? Or was that something else?
