Default 10-22 GATLEN GUN

I helped a buddy assemle this today with two brand new $200 Ruger 10-22,s from Dicks sporting goods and a $300 dollar kit. it was pretty simple and drifting out the dovetail sights was about the hardest parts. it took a little to get it adjusted to fire and relase the triggers correctly but once done it spits out some lead. I dont have the hicap mags yet. we have some tatical solution composits coming. It was fun to build. My 9 year old read the instructions out as we tried to figure out were all the pins and parts went. he had a better clue than we did by the time it was done than we did. the kit is vary nicely machined and went to with just a hammer and punch for the sights and a set of allen wrenches. were planning on taking it out on our next praire dog hunting trip LOL might make a mount for the AtV if its legal in that state.

IIRC, ASG did a review of these back in the day, they mounted it to a lightbar on the rollbar of a pickup truck. Made a lot of noise but actually hitting a target was pretty hard. Maybe with a T&E setup you could actually "dial it in".

That would almost be worth buying some of the 22lr tracers for night shooting. Looks cool and I bet can make tin cans dance.

They had them also, but discontinued them for the AK.

Ive seen AK,s set up like this.

were already talking about scope or a red dot to replace the aircraft sights. I think the red dot would be the ticket. that way you could pan the weapon side to side and see the dot easier.

it will fire just by squeasing the trigger and not cranking it 1 shot at a time. shot like that it should be pretty accurte for targets if I can get the barrel aligned.

A 7.62x25 blow back set up like this would be fun and fairly cheap to shoot.

dammm I wish kits were still $50. I was thinking of using 8 guns at once in a radial pattern with 75 round drums and bicycle pedals and a 15 speed hub to run it I would sit in a seat that would allow me to rotate 360 with the weapon as well as lean forward and back while pedaling. I could adjust the barrels to shoot a 12" circle at 500 yards this would really be helpful for praire dog hunting as I could get done in a few minutes and start drinking sooner. might as well make it in 308 or 8mm as recoil will not be a factor. I could put 600 rounds down range in about 30 seconds depending on what gear I put the derailer in and how fast I pedaled. it would be watter cooled as well the shell catcher might be the hard part

I was able to make the 10-22 set up work fine with the parts supplied. the trick is getting the trigger relase adjusted correctly I set it so that there was just a light amount of clearance between the trigers and the pin when the cam pushed it over.

I like the pics of the AK set up. damm kits an ammo are just to much these days. to play like that
