AK Bipod preferances/pictures?

I would really like to add a Bipod to one of my babies. I cant remember ever seeing "the one" anywhere...

anyone have some suggestions for me? How about some pictures of ones you have installed so I can get a feel for them.

any help mas appreciated.

There was or is an RPK bipod for sale in the classifieds by gtbehary, (good guy!)

Or new, [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Best pods in the world from what I have been reading and seeing. They just became a site sponsor as well :wink

Those versa pods would have to mount to the lower handgaurd. I was trying to avoid that, but does it provide better stability?

If there is better pod on the market it has not been seen. They ahve total adjustability in 3 axises.

They are going to be getting some pics back from Iraq where their pods are being used by our military. They even have a special SAW gun pod that I think they are going to send me one for inspection, but I have to send it back since it's really pricey and it is not a civillian marketed peice.

since when has stuff like bipods become military /leo only hardware?

When its made for a SAW gun and it's built like a tank. Its not that it's illegal, they just don't sell it to civillians. I was told it has big nasty claw feet.

Have you fired with it? What kind of response did it have? Ive always thought those would be kinday jenky and not very stable... ???
