Default Colt 70 series

I bought a new 70 series repo about a year ago and can help look at this piece of art every time I open my safe. I don't have a camera so I can't post a picture. This gun is sweet and the bluing is very deep and nice like a piece of glass and it has a nice set of rosewood grips. I like the fact that is has a short trigger and arched mainspring housing like a 1911A1 model.

Is it just me or does any one else like the 1911A1 style of pistol over the flat mainspring housing and long trigger?

Mine is one of the nicest looking pistols I've owned. I'll have to say that for shooting I prefer the flat msh and long trigger myself. That's what makes the '11 perfect for everyone, it was modular before modular was cool. This may seem like blasphemy, but I don't shoot mine much. It's put away 'til I can afford to send it to a top notch smith and have a full house custom done on it.
