Default Got the PTR-91KP - SWEET!!!

Just got her home. She is nice and tight Looks very well put together.
Excellent service from Blaine at Atlantic.
The range report will have to wait a little.
Anything I need to know about these? My first roller gun.

They're a pain in the ass too clean. The roller locking system is a very reliable one though.

I would get a .45 cal. rifle bore brush to use as a chamber brush to keep the flutes clean at the chamber.

Enjoy your new toy!

I still like my HK91 with the full stock though, but the PTR is and evil looking SOB.

How thick is the barrel under the handguards?

See the pin right below the front sight tower that goes through the handguard?

Push it out....it looks like it should come out by pushing the right hand side, but you can put it back either way.

Push the pin out, pull down on the handguard, and it should come right off.

I want pics too

I did have the pin out before, but the guard wouldn't come off. Wasn't sure and didn't want to screw it up. I'll go check.

You shouldn't be able to screw it up, but it might be a little tight fitting.....just pull down and to the front and it should come off.
