Hey guys have a question for ya"ll, I asked on another site and they didn't seem to know, but I own an Hi-Point 9mm carbine it's been a nice weapon to plink around with but the problem I have with it is the Magazine only holding 10 rounds, I was wondering if Hi-Point has an larger capacity or is there an replacement I could throw in it?

Also I was reading The GunList magazine and it was saying that the BATFE our clamping down on imports on certain firearms parts, like AK 47, SKS, AR-15 etc etc but I was always under the understanding that their are domestic gun manufactures that now produce AK's and other once foreign imports monopoly, since the HillBillry { 1996 or 1998 ) ban was lifted.

The High Point carbine uses single stack mags of their own design, they make no "high caps" mags and I do not think any other manufacturer makes any aftermarket mags for it

the only totally and truly made domsetic made "AW" (receiver, barrel and small parts) that I know of is JDL ENT. who make the PTR91 (HK91 clone). everyone else uses imported parts and assemble them on domestic made receivers, like RAPID FIRE, VECTOR ARMS etc...

I don't even believe that ARSENAL makes a truly complete domestic made AK, I believe they get the main parts like the barrel and other componets from bulgaria and assemble them on their own receivers

as for the HI-POINT mag....they made those guns to only use their mags, ....so there is no other mag makers that have those mags in larger capacity
