Not sure if we'd know the TRUTH if it fell in our lap. Anybody who KNOWS, knows to set things up in layers, i.e. the concept of defense is to set up layers of defense (who missed "The Green berets", with John Wayne? or "Platoon"? Raise your hands!), with flares at 500 yds and 300 yds, claymores at 200 yds, razor wire,flares and claymores at 100 yds and .50 cal. at 50 yds. etc, meaning Dale Dye calls in a Napam airstrike ON HIS OWN POSITION,meaning WHERE HE STOOD, when he realized his position was overran, in "Platoon".) Samo, samo with politics. "leave my guns alone" is the LAST line of defense. Don't mess with the Constitution, meaning don't change ONE LETTER ,WORD, MEANING or INTENT of the CONSTITUTION-- is the 1st line of defense.

There needs to be a viable 3rd party. I hate what both parties stand for. You have to take the evil with the good in both parties. Why not a viable 3rd party that actually represents normal Americans.
When it comes to one of the most catastrophic policy areas to this nation : Namely Total Firearms Ban followed with CONFISCATION !
Everyone already knows what Hillary will do.
Obama will go for the Ban on sales then would totally support any Ban on Sales and / or Possession of any firearms the House and Senate would send for his signature. Confiscation would depend upon if the law came in his first term or should he become lame duck.
McCain would sign a Ban on sales of so called military style weapons if passed with a veto proof majority or possibly near veto proof vote.
Confiscation ? IMHO he would go gor it if a veto proof vote passed the law or if he was a lame duck dealing with a majority vote on such a law.

John McCain has consistently received failing grades from the GOA for his votes in congress . His gun show legislation was the low mark of his career in a career full of low marks...

It doesn't matter who wins the Presidency. If the House and Senate Democrats achieve veto-proof majorities the actual RULER of the United States will be NANCY PELOSI.
Think about that for a minute or two and understand that new gun bans WILL include confiscation.
