Red face A moral dilema

Ok heres the story I have a 1965 Browning A5 belgium 12ga magnum the barrel and receiver numbers dont match but the assembly is like 99% blueing and the wood is beutiful. I was raised to shoot off a simalar A5 and bought this one for a shooting shotgun but it seems to nice to shoot so my dilema is do I shoot it like any other shotgun,Preserve it and keep it or sell it?
-Alex
PS it shoots like a dream

Post Do not sell..

Sell your dogs, your wife, your kin su knife set, your old baseball collection, your O.J. Simson autographed football. But never sell a weapon you like. You will hate yourself for life.
Weapons are made too be shot. Not hung on the wall.

I'd keep it. I have no problems selling a gun I can't shoot accurately, but I've kicked myself for selling the ones that shot or I could shoot well. in my teens I bought a remington 1100 just like my grampas but was disappointed to find out that I couldn't shoot as well with it as I could his. Both are bone stock, but for whatever reason I shoot better with one over the other. I own them both now and besides the fact it was my grampas, I won't sell his because I can shoot it so well. If you have a gun that stands out in how well you can shoot it, hold onto it and sell off everything else first.

Id shoot it and not think twice its non original and never will be shoot it.

Ive been trying to by a beater belgum a5 from a guy that has a cracked stock and fore grip little bluing I have been hunting with a5,s for a long time I want it so a can trick it out with a custom stock and barrel with screw in chokes ect for my main hunting gun.

FWIW a magnum A5 will handel heavy high base loads just fine. I have several and a couple were my great grand fathers they will never be sold. ones so worn out that it getting unsafe to shoot and Im going to have to retire it to the great gun rack in the sky. need a repalcement I dont care about so much.

There great guns I pulled a 46 average out of 50 in a trap league for a whole season with one 10 years ago before I got a real trap gun. dam near won the clup top gun with it. IMOO there one of the best autos out there. mine never jams

I'd say keep her. Not much is "too nice to shoot" and parts can always be replaced.
