Do you have a makarov? If so how does it compare? I was looking at these also.

No I don'thave a Makarov. I was considering one of the Polish p-64s until I saw these in the new flyer. This has an alloy frame and blued steel slide. Ad says these are very good to excellent. This one looks new to me. It has the drop hammer safety & wonderful trigger.Even the first shot in DA is not bad at all.The rest of the shots are VERY light! I shot it first time today. Three clips rapid fire at 50 feet were all in a 6 inch circle & I'm not even a good shot. Tommorow I'll actually try to shoot accurately and see what happens.

That sound even better than my makarov. I'm not a very good shot either and need all the help I can get.
Thanks for the info and enjoy

OK I exagerated! I measured the target I was blasting away at ,and it is actually 8" diameter. All I had was Wolf steel cased stuff & when my quality ammo shows up it will be interesting how well I can do. I bought this for a carry gun. Our local CCW class has you shooting at a target 20 feet away. I think I'll be able to pull that off with some more practice.By the time I finish the 500 rounds of Wolf I should have a better feel for this little autoloader. I did learn REAL QUICK where NOT to put your left hand! The hammer damn near broke my left thumb on my first shot! YOWZA!

My buddy has one of those and loves it. Because it has an alloy frame, he doesn't want to shoot it too often as he's afraid of stresses on the frame over time. But he brought it to the range a couple weeks ago. I was very impressed! I was shooting it a bit high and to the left. Once I corrected, I put 5 out of seven right into the x ring at 25'. Very tight shooting little pistol!

I got my own P64 from a local shop today. Similar to the P63 but with an all steel frame. Same nice feel and an excellent SA trigger. I felt the DA in both the P63 of his and the DA on my new P4 was way too heavy for me. Not good for accuracy there.

Just waiting on a holster and ammo from SG now!

I'd love to find a nice P63 too once I can afford another gun.
