I got a gift from dad - the 6.5 Mauser! This is my "payment" for completing his 6.5mm AK
Now we both have a 6.5 rifle to play with. He has another one that he uses for hunting, this was his safe queen/plinker. I plan to keep it that way, as the placard stamp shows minimal wear for this rifle. It has the bayo (non-matching) and is in really good shape. One of the best things about the 6.5 is not only is it a pleasure to shoot with mild recoil, but it is a versatile enough round that I can use it for anything in N. America at really long distances! I'm truly a Happy Camper today!

Very nice. I hope to add another one to my Mauser collection before prices go out of sight. Kicking myself for not loading up back when they cost much less.
