Had some fun with the new Polish P64 at the range today. It had one failure to feed in each of the first two clips of ammo. After that it ran like a watch. Shooting from the standing position, two handed, it would group almost dead on vertically to the point of aim and about 4" to the left of the aim point. I started aiming for the right edge of the black in the bullseye and she planted them right in the middle! The rear sight was a bit to the left from the factory. When I got home I gave it a few taps to drift it back to center. About a 1/32" adjustment. It should be darn close to perfect next time I take it to the range!
I found it more comfortable to shoot than my buddy's Hungarian Mak with it's alloy frame. Doesn't jump as much. I really like the way this little pistol works! You can reaccquire the target very quickly. I could rapid fire a clip into a 4" wide by 2" tall pattern in about six seconds! If I slowed down to aim better the groups were about 2" x 2" around.
In short, it fits my small hands very well. Trigger feel in SA is just great! And it's a very tight shooter. Two failures to feed in the first dozen rounds. Flawless after that. I ran 100 rounds through it. These are terrific little pistols for the money!
I can't wait to try it again now that sight is centered up!
